Channel News Asia Features Keppel Seghers Staff in Qatar
Employees from Keppel Seghers in Qatar were featured by Channel News Asia (CNA) earlier this month as part of a TV documentary focusing on Asian companies in the Middle East kingdom.
The footages were filmed over two days which saw the TV production crew travelling across Qatar to capture scenes of the desert, the Domestic Solid Waste Management Centre (DSWMC) which is under construction and the Doha North Sewage Treatment Works (DNSTW) site.
During the filming, besides their work, Keppelites also shared their lifestyle experiences in Qatar including shopping at the souk (local market), learning Arabic at the local university or having a barbeque get-together at the clubhouse
Mr Geoffrey Piggott, Project Director (DSWMC) Keppel Seghers, said, “It was interesting to have our activities filmed. The project team has been working hard and we organised a barbeque dinner to thank them. It was heartening to see the team of multinationals bonding and their families integrating here. I think the news crew got a sense of that as well.”
The programme also included interviews with Singapore’s Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Qatar’s Finance Min H.E Yousef Hussein Kamal.
