Two companies in the Keppel Group supported Earth Day on 22 April 2009, reflecting the Group’s commitment to the environment.

Keppel Integrated Engineering (KIE) marked Earth Day with a lunch-time talk which shared the idea of eco-tourism with KIE employees.

The talk on eco-tourism, given by ECO Travel, an affiliate of the non-profit social enterprise ECO Singapore, highlighted special tours in Southeast Asia and Australia that were enjoyable, educational and benefit the environment.

Commented Mr Wong Chee Hoo, a Keppel Seghers Project Engineer who was inspired by the talk, “The Eco-tourism talk showed me that there are ways to marry leisure with environmental conservation. The tips will certainly come in handy when I plan for my next holiday destination.”
